GRVL KLR

In racing and performing at your highest level, mindset is everything. Pulling up to the start line or rolling around in the parking lot before a group ride, it becomes clear to everyone that the GRVL KLR isn’t just another mass-produced generic carbon ride. You don’t name a bike ‘Killer’ without a reason. When it is time to go, you are ready to put the hammer down and your ride delivers what you need.

Purpose built for going fast, the GRVL KLR is nervous. It accelerates and responds quickly and tracks through turns crisply and decisively. The GRVL KLR isn’t for everyone. For those riders who are driven to excel and perform, but who don’t want to trade comfort for speed, this is your secret weapon.

internal cable routing

For any self-respecting high-performance bike, weight, aerodynamics, and ergonomics are all must haves. All our Pro-level bikes, including the Gravel Killer have internally routed cable systems. This internal routing is not overly common on steel gravel bikes but we at STS don’t skimp. Internal routing reduces cable crimps and damage, frame noise and provides clear raceways for cables, just like you find on carbon and road frames.

designed for speed

The geometry is aggressive. The bike is light. The GRVL KLR Pro weighs in at 18 pounds and change. STS uses the finest butted high-grade steel from the world’s foremost custom steel providers in the U.S., Italy, and Japan.

huge tire clearance

The sand of BWR Michigan. The mud of Mid South. The rocky dirt of Rooted Vermont. The single track and pea-gravel of Barry Roubaix. The packed dirt and small gravel of  DustBowl 100. The volcanic pumice of The Rift. Even the Criterium tarmac the GRVL KLR is  registered for. All of these races require different tires and tire clearances and the design of  the GRVL KLR fits widths from narrow 32mm slicks to beefy 44mm knobbies.

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Steel is real.

When welded perfectly, steel frames give a responsive feel on gravel unlike anything you will ever encounter on carbon fiber. It’s possible to feel the changes in gravel type and traction without any of the constant jarring of carbon which drowns out the ground feel. Steel doesn’t chip when stones fly up nor will it ever crack or shatter with a fall. Steel takes a punch and then punches right back.

It's a black and white decision.

There was no need to add a flashy color scheme to this bike. It stands on it's own just like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. Match your style with our Black and Pearl White paint options.
